Marketing Strategies

What methods does Sue use to market and sell your home?  Listed below are some of her marketing strategies.

Publications

  • Harmon Homes - This is a publication available to the public for free.  You will usually find it in grocery and department stores.  Sue usually takes out a color ad in Harmon Homes for the houses she is currently listing.  She believes that color ads, rather than black and white, are more beneficial to catching the eyes of potential buyers.
  • Kansas City Star - Sue also takes out ads in the KC Star promoting her listings.
  • Blue Springs Examiner - The local paper for Blue Springs, Missouri and one in which Sue often lists the homes she has for sale.

Flyers

  • Sue keeps a mailing list of people who currently rent and when she lists a home in their price range, will send a flyer to those people.
  • A flyer will also be sent to the neighborhood in which the home is for sale.  This is for people who may know friends or family interested in moving into that area, they can pass the word on to them that a home has come available.
  • Sue will also send a flyer to her past customers who may be thinking of moving up in their price range.

Other

  • Multiple Listing Service (MLS) - Sue will enter your home in a searchable database used by realtors nationwide.
  • Realtor.com - Sue has a page with her listings on this very popular website.
  • Word of mouth - Sue spreads the word to other agents showing and looking for homes in the price range.  Since Sue has been in the business for over 20 years, she knows many, many agents.
